Challenges

Require experts to work at global client sites to customise product offerings to their business needs. These assignments required a “niche”  understanding of the architecture, design framework and related best practices of the CORE systems to create robust & efficient solutions for projects. As the clients might not be familiar with the systems at the time, there was a need to collaborate & fully support the clients so that the business needs could align appropriately during the implementations and enhancements.  In addition, proficiencies in insurance business process knowledge, technologies and in-depth expert knowledge of the systems and insurance products needed as environments might vary from client to client. Projects ranged from implementations, enhancements & conversion. 

Approaches

•Extensive experience gained and worked in different locations worldwide covering the CORE (various versions) & its related interfaces. Roles varied depending on the project/resources covering all aspects of the system development life cycle; from business analysis to system-related. Acted as a consultant and worked with global clients onsite as follows:

•Provided guidance, expertise and insights on the CORE system. Fully supported and collaborated with the client’s team, including actual work for project contributions, mentoring and training.  Able to push back requirements that were not feasible and provide alternate approaches and solutions.

•Demonstrated a thorough understanding of business processes & how they interfaced with the systems design. Committed to successful projects and ensured the requirements, goals, objectives, timeframe and budget were all met with rigorous and thorough testing in place.  Provided tailor-made training to clients to sustain knowledge.
